What is Vitamin B17?
The vitamin B 17 is also known as Laetrile or Amygdalin, and is found in most fruit seeds… primarily apricot seeds. The hard pit in the middle of the apricot or peach, for example, is not supposed to be thrown away. In fact, the hard shell is actually a strong armor protecting one of the most important foods known to man, the seed.
Amygdalin was first isolated in 1830 and was used as an anticancer agent in Russia as early as 1845. The first documented use of Laetrile in the United States as a treatment for cancer was in the 1920s. Laetrile is a compound that has been used as an anticancer treatment and preventative in humans worldwide. The Food and Drug Administration has not (and will not) approve it for use in the United States. It is not like the 50 year struggle that Vitamin C went thru, to finally get to the point where the FDA was no longer interested. Vitamin C was the cure and preventative for scurvy. It did not necessarily shut down the money machine for all doctors and pharmaceuticals that B17 would do if the FDA lost interest in keeping it out of the hands of Americans.
Vitamin B 17 is found in most non-citrus, fruit seeds. Its components make it vital for our survival without cancer. Seeds are for everyone to eat. Don’t wait and see if you develop cancer to start eating the seeds. Vitamin B17 is found in the kernels of seeds of many fruits, such as the apple, peach, cherry, grape, and apricot and often in the extraordinary concentration of 2 to 3 per cent. It is found in some beans and many grasses such as wheat grass. It is one of the main courses of food in cultures such as the Navajo Indians, the Hunzakuts, Abkhazians, Karahorums, Georgians, and 13 more cultures we know at this time. Cultures such as these have never had a reported case of cancer when eating their traditional foods! Apricot Kernels are the richest source of B17 (Laetrile). Dr. Ernst T. Krebs is the world’s leading authority on the relationship between cancer and amygdalin, and a co-founder of Laetrile
Vitamin B-17 (nitriloside, amygdalin, Laetrile) is a designation proposed to include a large group of water-soluble, essentially non-toxic, sugary, compounds found in over 800 plants, many of which are edible. These factors are collectively known as Beta-cyanophoric glycosides. They comprise molecules made of sugar, hydrogen cyanide, a benzene ring or an acetone. Though the intact molecule is for all practical purposes completely non-toxic, it may be hydrolyzed by Beta- glycosidase to a sugar-free hydrogen cyanide, benzaldehyde (acetone). Amygdalin is composed of two molecules of glucose (a sugar), one molecule of hydrocyanic acid (an anti-neoplastic compound), and one molecule of benzaldehyde (an analgesic).
There are many chronic or metabolic diseases that have presented numerous challenges to our medical establishment. Some diseases have been defeated. What was it that led to their defeat? Was the prevention actually the cure? Let us think of some of these diseases that have found total prevention and hence cure.
We are speaking of metabolic or non-transmissible diseases. At one time the metabolic disease known as scurvy killed hundreds of thousands of people, sometimes entire populations. This disease found total prevention and cure in the ascorbic acid or vitamin C component of fruits and vegetables. Similarly, the once fatal diseases so aptly called pernicious anemia, pellagra, beriberi, and others, found complete cure and prevention in specific dietary factors, that is, essential nutrients in an adequate diet.
What is metabolic therapy? Answer: Treatment with improved nutrition, i.e. natural diet. The lack of a natural diet is the chief cause of cancer. The cause of scurvy was the lack of Vitamin C. There are over 160 metabolic diseases, which are all related to the lack of proper diet.
Any contradiction to this is absurd, and even an exception would further “prove the rule”. How can we dispute “truth”?
We have taken the B17 food out of our diet nearly 100%, and it is supposed to be there, just like it is among the cultures that never get cancer. So, I believe the answer is simple, we must re-introduce B17 food back into our diet.
